Anatomy Department

Human anatomy is the study of the structure of the human body and the relationship between its parts. The discipline of anatomy is divided into macroscopic and microscopic anatomy, which includes the study of brain, spinal cord and different structures of the human body. This department works closely with the other preclinical departments through horizontal integration to offer Indian Medical Graduates a strong foundation. Activity of the department includes model making, histology, drawing, dissections for the undergraduate students. Knowledge of anatomy is vital for any Indian Medical Graduates intending to perform physical examinations on patients, carry out invasive and non-invasive procedures, diagnose through radiological imaging or explain a procedure to the patient.
