Course @ a Glance
MD Pharmacology is a course of 3 years duration. Post Graduate students are trained in basic & advanced pharmacology by conducting regular seminars, journal clubs, & practical by experienced qualified faculty. Students are also trained in Clinical Pharmacology wherein they are posted to different clinical departments at our hospital. As the department is actively running Pharmacological center post graduates are trained in Adverse drug reaction monitoring. They are also posted to Pharmaceutical companies, so as to get hands on experience of Pharmaceutical Industry.
Further the post graduates are encouraged to actively take part in research activities. In addition to dissertation work, they are encouraged to publish minimum of 2 original research papers in an Indexed Journal and to present minimum of 2 scientific papers in State/National / International conferences. The department is equipped with high end equipment like HPLC, Spectrophotometry etc. They are trained to use these equipments for both research & academic activities.


Eligibility
For General Category (GC) Candidate
• The candidate who holds MBBS degree from recognized Medical College and whose has obtained full registration from Medical Council of India or any of the state Medical councils after completing compulsory rotating internship.
• Securing not less than 50% marks in last 4 & ½ years.
• + 50% marks in either of the Entrance Test that includes All India PG Medical Entrance Exam (AIPGMEE) / PG Entrance Test (PGET) / Karnataka Religious and Linguistic Minority (KRLM)
• Securing not less than 50% marks in last 4 & ½ years.
• + 50% marks in either of the Entrance Test that includes All India PG Medical Entrance Exam (AIPGMEE) / PG Entrance Test (PGET) / Karnataka Religious and Linguistic Minority (KRLM)


Candidates from outside Karnataka State
• Candidates from outside Karnataka State must get Migration certificate from respective State & Eligibility certificate from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
• Candidates of minority status should have certificate from appropriate authorities.
• Securing not less than 40% marks in last 4 & ½ Years
• + 40% marks in either of Entrance Test that includes All India PG Medical Entrance Exam (AIPGMEE) / PG Entrance Test (PGET) / Karnataka Religious and Linguistic Minority (KRLM).


For Scheduled Cast (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST) / Other Backward Community (OBC) Candidate
• The candidate who holds MBBS degree from recognized Medical College and whose has obtained full registration from Medical Council of India or any of the state Medical councils after completing compulsory rotating internship.
• Securing not less than 40% marks in last 4 & ½ Years
